Like the logo there at the top says, I’m David Brouitt, and, well, I’m creative.
I believe everyone is. And I’ve been fortunate to turn my creative abilities into a most enjoyable way to make a living.
As a Copywriter, Art Director, Designer, aspiring New Yorker Cartoonist (translation: if you took my collection of New Yorker rejection slips and laid them end to end, they would reach all the way to the moon and back and then punch me in the throat) and Creative Director, I enjoy working with nice people in marketing across many disciplines, including B2B, branding, strategy, consumer packaged goods, and you know, basic overall advertising stuff.
My logo is a stylized D and B (the grey area) and heck why not a C as well cuz I made it and I get to say so; all standing for David Brouitt Creative.
The little negative white space there is what helps form the letter C, and it’s also the head of a pencil that is in the process of making a mark inside the grey space. And from that mark, an idea is born and is broadcast back out into the world in a yellow streak of light.
At least that’s what it says in my brand guide, and I believe it.
I live in Toronto with my wife Marilyn, and ever since moving into a south facing suite, my office has morphed into a greenhouse.
